Rides and Events
Road Bike Ride
For you road riders, we have a ride every Friday morning originating at our store at 7 A.M. It is currently about 18 to 20 miles and all levels of riders are invited. Fleet Odom leads this ride. Please like our page on facebook, www.facebook.com/beachbikeshop, to stay up to date with the latest news and check each Thursday afternoon for the latest info regarding the Friday ride. Also, Fleet and Tom lead riders on every Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 AM from Croissants Bistro at 38th Ave. N. and Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. This is a no drop ride and after every sprint it regroups.
Mountain Bike Riding in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach is not known for its mountains but it is getting a lot of attention because of the local mountain biking community. Every day in the afternoons mountain bikers are getting together for a nice trail ride by the YMCA. This is a mostly a fun trail riding experience. All levels of riders are invited to try this out. Bicycle Repairs
Service
Bicycle maintenance is extremely important if you want to receive the most enjoyment and pleasure from your bike. Bikes should always be kept clean and properly adjusted so as to provide optimum performance. Equally important, proper air pressure should be maintained in the tires . We provide all types of service from simple tube replacement to complete overhaul, from frame build-up to brake adjustment and we have most of the parts needed in stock. We suggest that bikes receive at least 2 minor tuneups and cleanings each year. Our minor tune-ups average about $20 and include gear brake adjustment, check over bike, examine and air-up tires, tighen everthing and prepare an estimate if any further service is required. General tuneups average about $45 plus parts and include all labor. We also replace spokes and true wheels.
Remember, we have a full service repair shop! Beach Bike will repair all brands and provide free estimates. We stock repair parts for all bikes so that you don't normally have to wait for parts to be ordered. Tubes and Tires replaced while you wait!

We have road bikes and cruisers for hire.
When visiting the Myrtle Beach area, we suggest that you consider renting bicycles so as to get the most enjoyment from your vacation. Our boardwalk is available all day during the off season and in the mornings during the summer time. Our store is only a few blocks from the boardwalk in the 5 Points area of Myrtle Beach where Hwy 501 and Broadway St. intersect. We primarily rent coaster brake cruisers that the whole family can ride and enjoy.
We provide free locks, baskets, helmets and a map that shows all the bike friendly roads and paths. So --instead of sitting on the beach frying, come take a ride on a rental bike and see the sights, stop for lunch and enjoy all of the beach.
Cruisers and road bikes are available for rent either daily and/or weekly.
